Q. Who is Jellinbah Group?
A. We were established in 1988 as a privately owned independent Queensland-based coal company. As a privately owned company, we have deliberately focussed on the safe operations of our mines, and the health and well-being of our employees, communities, and environment.
As a proud Australian business which has operated in regional Queensland communities for more than 34 years, we understand better outcomes are always achieved when we work together.
We own two operational mines – Jellinbah Mine and the Lake Vermont Mine. The Jellinbah Group operate the Jellinbah Mine, and have contracted Thiess Mining to operate the Lake Vermont Mine. Thiess Mining has been part of Bowen Basin regional communities for several years and they are well known to locals in the area.
Our history tells a story of safe operations, responsible environmental management, community involvement, and quiet achievement – we are proud of our track record and the results we have achieved together.
As we progress with our proposed Lake Vermont Meadowbrook extension project, we understand key stakeholders and our communities may want to understand more about us – Jellinbah Group, our projects, and our track record.
