Respect for Country is central to our approach at Jellinbah. We work closely with Traditional Owners and local communities to understand, learn, and ensure our mutually beneficial relationships are maintained and strengthened.
We have agreements with a number of local Indigenous groups to ensure cultural heritage is identified and preserved for future generations.
Jellinbah has, for many years, worked within the guidelines of various Cultural Heritage Management Plans to ensure a good working relationship with Traditional Owners was established and maintained. We also ensure our mine workers are aware of the importance of preserving cultural heritage through education and training, and working closely with local Indigenous groups.
In the course of developing our projects, we work collaboratively with local Indigenous groups to protect artifacts and any items of cultural significance.
